The lack of geographical data makes providing humanitarian aid more difficult. This is particularly the case in situations of disaster, when geographical data and routing data are crucial for coordinating help. In certain regions, however, this data still remains incomplete. During Mapathons, volunteers map these areas and provide the missing data.

As part of this year’s open-air exhibition “Ärzte ohne Grenzen hautnah” in Heidelberg, we invite you to the Mapathon to actively support the humanitarian work.

You don’t need any previous knowledge, we will begin the Mapathon with a short explanation session. Please bring your own laptop and a computer mouse.
