In his session, Prof. Zipf will explore the role of user-generated mapping with a focus on OpenStreetMap (OSM). While OSM has become a standard in many applications, data quality remains heterogenous globally. With the rise of AI-mapping, new challenges and opportunities are emerging. The session examines how human and AI contributions can be combined in ethical and responsible ways, highlighting practical examples and use cases for future Crowd-AI collaboration in mapping.
