According to WorldPop data, Central and South America are home to 645 million people. Our analysis shows that 546 million (84.66%) of these live within a 60-minute drive of any healthcare facility. 502 million (77.89%) live within 30 minutes and 415 million (65.4%) live within 10 minutes.
