Heigit at the Land and Carbon Summit in Brussels

This week’s Land and Carbon Summit in Brussels promises to unite policymakers and researchers to address major climate-related topics in the areas of supply chains, food, land stewardship, urban resilience, and more. Through a packed agenda with livestreaming available, sessions highlight everything from nature crime to the importance of open data.

This Thursday, June 29 between 1:30 and 3 PM Central European Summer Time, our Machine Learning Lead for Good Dr. Sukanya Randhawa will be speaking in a Cross-Cutting Data and Technology Session, “Scaling Geospatial Models from Research to Production.” The session promises to deliver insights into the practical applications of current research from a range of scientists and engineers working to translate research models into robust production systems. Dr. Randhawa will speak alongside panelists from the University of Maryland, Development Seed, and Vizzuality.

Conference partipants can join in-person in meeting room R2 and non-participants can watch online during the live stream. To watch online, register here.

We look forward to a stimulating and eye-opening session!
