New ohsomeNow Stats feature
The ohsomeNow tool has been enhanced to improve its functionality and usability. It now includes all OpenStreetMap (OSM) data, going back to 2005, and not just contributions tagged with hashtags. This provides the opportunity to conduct broader and more flexible analyses of global mapping activity over time. Users now have the ability to generate comprehensive statistics for a specified time period, with the option to apply filters by country and/or specific hashtags. The data is updated every minute, ensuring that users receive accurate information in seconds. The statistics are not precomputed, instead, they are calculated on the fly. This dynamic setup allows users high flexibility, providing them with daily updates on changes within a single country or long-term trends across the globe.
