Talk: Assessing the Attribute Accuracy and Logical Consistency of Road Data in OpenStreetMap

Sunday, 09-08, 10:00-10:20 (Kenya), Room: Auditorium 2

OSM data can be applied in a wide range of domains. The requirements to this data depend on the specific application. The crowdsourced nature of OSM the lack of quality control during the contribution lead to differing data quality. Wangshu Wang addresses these data quality issues in her research, assessing OSM road data quality with a focus on car driving as navigation is one of the primary application domains of OSM. During this talk she will present methods with which users will be able to verify road data quality in terms of attribute accuracy and logical consistency, before their intended use.

Talk: Openrouteservice Version 8 — Experiences and Insights from 10+ Years of running and Providing a Global OSM-driven, Free and Open-source Routing Engine

Sunday, 09-08, 10:00-10:20 (Kenya), Room: Auditorium 1

This talk by Julian Psotta will be a recapitulation of the history of openrouteservice (ORS) which began around 2008.
