MapSwipe

This website provides a collection of tools that bring together everything related to MapSwipe projects. This includes a visualisation of the results (e.g. settlement layer), but also additional characteristics like agreement among volunteers, which is an important indicator for quality. Furthermore, you can monitor the progress of individual MapSwipe projects or use our tutorials to improve your mapping skills.

Tools and Services:

Analytics

MapSwipe Analytics is a website that brings together everything related to MapSwipe projects. This includes a visualisation of the results (e.g. settlement layer), but also additional characteristics like agreement among volunteers, which is an important indicator for quality.

Live

The purpose of this project is to create a display service for Mapswipe data inspired by OSM Show me the way. Feel free to use this service for your Mapathon or to get a look at examples of Mapswipe.

Tutorial

You can use this project as a base for your own tuturial for Maspwipe or other projects. You need a geojson as input file.

Processing

This project can help you to download processed data that is produced by volunteers using the MapSwipe App. We filter out unreliable answers and derive geometries that are ready to use in the HOT Tasking Manager.

DeepVGI

In our project “DeepVGI”, we study predictive analytics methods with remote sensing images, VGI, deep neural networks as well as other learning algorithms. It aims at deeply learning from satellite imageries with the supervision of such Volunteered Geographic Information.

Repositories

Our tools are open source. we are happy about contributions and bug reports. Have a look at the respective repositories for more detailed information.
