The Climate Action Navigator is a new dashboard by HeiGIT that displays high-resolution spatial indicators related to climate action.

The third HGG lecture is about the function of glaciers as early warning systems for climate change and how this has changed over the years.

Our next mapathon will take place on June 3, 2025 at 6.30 PM in the Hörsaal of the Geography institute in the Berliner Straße 48.

HeiGIT will be participating at this years QGIS User Conference from 2nd to 3rd of June 2025 in Norrköping, Sweden. The conference includes a variety of presentations, workshops, and discussions on a wide range of QGIS topics.

Several of our colleagues are attending this year’s EGU General Assembly in Vienna, Austria.

At the 30th International Conference on Urban Planning and Regional Development in the Information Society (REAL CORP 2025), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kirsten Von Elverfeldt, working in HeiGIT’s Climate Action Team, will present a paper on hiWALK and hiBIKE, co-created assessment tools to foster active mobility for all.

HeiGIT will be attending this year’s Urban Greenhouse Gas Conference and Stakeholder Summit in Geneva. Dr. Sebastián Block will present his research on scalable, high-resolution bottom-up GHG emission inventories using open data.
