At this year’s AGIT conference in Salzburg, Austria, HeiGIT will host a poster session to our new Silver Ways project, developing a walkable routing system to cater the needs of older adults.
HeiGIT is participating in this year’s ICUC12 – 12th International Conference on Urban Climate, which is taking place from 7 to 11 July in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. HeiGIT will be presenting in the session “Recent advancements in monitoring and modelling urban greenhouse gas emissions”.
This Mapathon is organized in cooperation with Doctors Without Borders and is part of the Missing Maps project. The project uses the open-source platform OpenStreetMap to map areas lacking geographical data for humanitarian aid.
The conference programme contains talks, workshops, discussion rounds and more. Four talks as well as a workshop will be hosted by attending HeiGIT and GIScience team members.
The annual event is a cornerstone for the European (OpenStreetMap) OSM community, attracting developers, scientists, designers, social activists, companies and enthusiasts worldwide to enhance mapping practices and promote open geographic knowledge.
Children, young adults, and aspiring citizen scientists of all ages can join us at this year´s Explore Science in Mannheim to delve into the science behind frozen ground thawing, maps of changing landscapes and much more, with plenty of interactive experiences about climate and environment.
Attendees of the AGILE 2024 conference will explore the crucial role of geographic information science (GIS) in the relationships between the environment, society, and the economy. We at HeiGIT are happy to announce that members of our team will be part of the conference.
