The FOSSGIS conference is the largest conference for open source geoinformation software and OpenStreetMap in the German-speaking world. This year´s edition will take place from 26-29 March 2025 in Münster, Germany. Current research and development topics will be presented and discussed in various formats. HeiGIT is once again contributing with two different sessions.

This year, Anne Schauss and Melanie Eckle-Elze will take part in the German Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (Fachtagung Katastrophenvorsorge), which will be held on March 26–27, 2025. The theme of the conference is From Climate Change to Crisis: Integrating Disaster Preparedness and Climate Action. Together with other participants, we will explore the opportunities, challenges, and current developments in disaster risk reduction within the context of a changing climate.
