Call for papers: VGI and Remote Sensing for Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Environments

In this interactive workshop at the KIT Science Week 2025, participants can learn about active mobility while mapping their city.

HeiGIT is taking part at Junger Kongress für Geographie (JKG), which will take place in Leipzig from September 17-20 2025.

HeiGIT will host a session at this year’s EUGEO Congress taking place from 08.-11.09.2025 in Vienna, Austria.

Anne Schauss, together with our collaboration partner from the University of Glasgow Diego Pajarito, is taking part at GIScience Conference 2025.

The International Cartographic Conference 2025 is taking place in Vancouver, Canada from 17th to 22nd August and unites experts and practitioners from around the world to explore recent developments in cartography.

This Mapathon is organized in cooperation with Doctors Without Borders and is part of the Missing Maps project. The project uses the open-source platform OpenStreetMap to map areas lacking geographical data for humanitarian aid.

The last HGG lecture of this summer term 2025 will look at the terraced landscapes in the Peruvian Andes, focussing on human-environment interactions.

HeiGIT is participating in this year’s ICUC12 – 12th International Conference on Urban Climate, which is taking place from 7 to 11 July in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. HeiGIT will be presenting in the session “Recent advancements in monitoring and modelling urban greenhouse gas emissions”.
